Step 4: Swipe downward, and two options will be revealed at the top of the Notification Center: Night Shift and Do Not Disturb. Swipe left from the right edge of the trackpad - this will bring across the Notification Center. Step 3: Alternatively, there’s another way to turn on Do Not Disturb. It will remain on until midnight or until you turn it off. This means Do Not Disturb has been turned on.

Step 2: The Notification Center icon will turn from black to gray. It’s the far-right icon in the menu bar that looks like three lines stacked on top of each other.

Step 1: The easiest way to enable Do Not Disturb is to hold the Option key (labeled as Alt on some Macs) and click the Notification Center icon. There are a few ways to enable this feature. It will keep you from seeing or hearing notifications (although you can view them by opening the Notification Center). Using Do Not Disturb is the easiest way to turn off Mac notifications. Just remember to turn them back on after your alone time is complete. There is more than one way to do this, and we show them all to you. This is your step-by-step instructions for turning off notifications.

Select "NOTIFICATIONS" you will see a gray heading that says "Recently Sent" (Mine shows the first three). This way it may be easier to go through the process of elimination when trying to figure out which app may be causing the notifications. If this doesn't work, take a look at your notification history (I put the steps below). You could also try disabling the app altogether. It will still say that the notifications are "allowed" but don't worry about that. Scroll to the bottom and select "WIRELESS EMERGENCY ALERTS" I put the steps below and other suggestions with steps. I didn't read it I just swiped up to get rid of it. This started happening right after I got a COVID alert. I kept getting a notification sound every 1min but there was no display of what it was for.
